My old man, this is going back way before I was born. He was I'm the woods with my uncle and a few mates then found an unexploded world war 2 era shell. Long story short, they were throwing it back and forth until my Nan said, "Take that to the police station immediately! My Dad drops it on the desk, and the constable on duty is panicking, trying to get the bomb squad down. Ended up in the local papers at the time. Convictions are a joke. I was in court assisting prosecution for an offender aged 21, who had 96 prior convictions, for multiple offences each conviction for traffic offences (ie. High speed speeding, fail to stop for police, driving while disqualified, driving while uninsured, dangerous driving etc) and he got a $500 fine, and a 12 month suspended sentence (despite ALREADY being disqualified for 120 years from holding or obtaining a licence) He left court, went back to his car, and GOT IN to drive away. Arrested again, back in court the next month before (surprisingly) the same judge for traffic court. And he got a further suspended sentence. Less than a year later, I heard he had wiped himself and a friend out while speeding and drunk. If the judge hadn't been so lenient, he AND his friend would still be alive.

I used to work in a pub in london by a major tube station which had a police station nearby. Youd always have the coppers coming in for a drink/meal etc and were nice lads. Anyway one night one of them get very drunk and picked a fight with the door staff, ended up having the door staff detain this copper. The sad bit was door staff was arrested for it as a precaution and this copper was let off.

The 'fuck him up' bit is worrying. I know you passed it as a joke and that you are civ now, but this is why many people I know are terrified of the police. I realise this offender was very problematic, but from the comfort of your screen I would hope to see more countenance of a trained officer. Anyway. Have a nice day.

At least two Australian states use the 3.3L versions of these for Highway Patrol. Crews like them, but unfortunately Kia are no longer selling these here. Other states use either BMW 5 series or the Chrysler 300SRTs.
